The Reflections Program

Older Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Services

Aging brings on many challenges. Decreased physical and mental capabilities, the loss of loved ones and reduced independence can mean significant changes in the lives of older adults. A sudden or prolonged change in mood may indicate a presence of mental illness.  In some cases, severe behavioral disturbances can co-occur with the early stages of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Sometimes specialized care is needed, and that’s where Haven can help.

Older adult patients experiencing acute changes in mental status or behavioral problems may be admitted to Haven’s safe and nurturing Reflections Program, where they are assessed and treated by an interdisciplinary team of professionals. The interdisciplinary team will monitor the patient’s progress and ensure that the patient receives a customized recovery plan for treatment of their mental illness to stabilize their condition. The goal of inpatient care is to return our patients to their best possible level of health so they may continue to be treated safely as an outpatient.
